Every horse that comes in for training is evaluated to ascertain it’s physical and mental capabilities. Then it is started on the ground in the round pen. It doesn’t matter if the horse is going to become a saddle-seat horse in the English Division or a reining or cutting or pleasure horse in the Western Division. Each horse is taught the basic elements, such as manners, going forward, turns, stops, backing, and trust and respect for it’s handlers. Horses are taught to enjoy their work and not be afraid. Many problem horses come to Victory Hill and most of these horses were not started with a good set of basics. When restarted with proper handling and good basic guidelines, they have excelled and have become great horses.
Sandy trained and showed "TL OOH LA LA" - Regional Champion in California and Colorado in the Park Horse Division. She also rode "Havasu Flame" to Top Ten in the Arabian Hunter Futurity in California.
