Our Mission
Sandy Carpenter-Rose has
dedicated over 30 years to training horses and riders to perform in many facets
of the horse world.
She has trained many National and Regional Champion show horses in
Western and English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Park Horse, Driving, and
Trail. Sandy has also trained National Champion Junior Riders in
Saddleseat Equitation and Stockseat Equitation. She has judged
open shows, 4-H shows, miniatures, and Arabian horses in shows all over
the United States.
The main goal for horse
training at Victory Hill Training Center is to produce horses that can carry
their riders in the show ring, on the trail, on a working cattle ranch, or at a
Versatility Ranch Horse Competition in the safest and most pleasurable manner.
At
Victory Hill, you will receive instruction on the proper way to handle and ride
your horse. Situations which were once stressful will become relaxed and
controlled, especially with problem horses.
Sandy’s knowledge of horses, horse health,
care of horses and tack is extensive and will benefit any individual that is
willing to listen and learn.
An excellent Apprenticeship
program is available for trainers and individuals to increase their knowledge
and skills.
Victory Hill Training Center is situated on the banks of
the “Little Arkansas” River in the high mountain valley of Salida, Colorado. The
center features indoor and outdoor arenas, large and small round pens, cattle
pen, course obstacles (including streams & rivers), and accommodations for
boarding over
20 horses.

I graduated from California
State Polytechnic College in Pomona, Ca. with a degree in Business
Administration. I spent all of my free time at the Kellogg Arabian Horse
Unit at the college working with their trainers and horses. At the age of
18, I was the youngest rider to win the Pacific Coast English Pleasure
Championship for the college and this was the beginning of my training and
showing of horses. I have trained all breeds of horses and have learned
from many great trainers.
Feel free to call, e-mail,
or write about any questions you have about your horse, training , clinics, etc.
